Additional Services & Sydney Activities.
Our Additional Services are designed to help you get to your accommodation quickly, safely & cheaply. They also help with some boring "must do's" so you can work, travel have fun in Australia. This includes getting a bank account, getting a Tax File No. so you can work and getting your mobile up and running so you can communicate with friends & family and get work.
Our Sydney Activities are all must do's if you have the time. They are all fabulous day tours, activities & tourist attractions. They are non refundable but open dated.
Airport shuttles are avilable from Airport to either Surfside Bondi Beach or Surfside Coogee Beach or from either Surfside Bondi Beach or Surfside Coogee Beach back to the airport. Where ever you are coming from the shuttle will pick you up and bring you to either Surfside location. It's safe, cheap & quick and takes approx 20-30 minutes depending on traffic and time of day. The shuttle bus starts at 5am every day & finishes at 6pm every day. A taxi on the other hand would cost from $45.00-$80.00 depending on driver, time of day etc
If you request the shuttle bus we shall email you a travel voucher which you must print out and give to the driver instead of payment. Please don't forget otherwise he/she will charge you for the service for which we unable to refund.
Westpac is one of the best & most common banks in Australia with ATMs and branches everywhere. We will open a Westpac Choice Account in your name. Your ATM card will be ordered & will be waiting for you at the local Westpac branch. On arrival you identify yourself at the bank with photo I.D such as passport, driver license etc & you will be able to deposit money & walk away with your ATM card without having to wait the 5 business days. (You cannot deposit funds into the account until you have been identified in person.
You need a Tax File Number (TFN) to work in Australia. If you want us to get this for you, no worries. We shall apply for you and you will have a temporary TFN on the day of arrival. Your actual TFN will arrive within 5-7 days. Don't worry if you leave Surfside in under 5-7 days, we shall email it to you.
Mail Hold/Forward - FREE - Yahoo!
Quite simply we either hold your mail for your return or forward your mail to another address inside Australia.
We currently have Nokia 1661 mobile phone for just $49.00, its a basic phone but is really good. We are happy to do the complicated registration process for you for FREE.
We sell a Vodafone Sim card for $10.00 but you get $10 worth of extra credit when you recharge. For example if you put $20 credit on your phone you will get the $20 credit plus an extra $10 from the sim. In theory the Sim is FREE!
Vodafone have a recharge called a Jumbo Cap. The Jumbo Cap has $150 worth of talk and text attached all for just $29.00 It's cheap, easy, & great value for money & gives you almost unlimited calls for approx $1 per day. A Surfside staff member can help you put credit onto your phone at check in. Your phone will be ready to use in 5-30 minutes.

We can show you the best tours, the best transport choices and most of all show you the best way to travel our beautiful country for the best price. The Surfside Travel planner is there to give you ideas and advice on travelling the country, where to stay and what to do. Surfside Bondi Beach and Surfside Coogee Beach has its own travel desk, called Surfside Travel and we are there to help you on arrival and book any travel or tour you may require. Booking some tours at Surfside Travel will give you free accommodation at Surfside, Yahoo!!

Surfside is happy to offer you the Surfside employment pack designed to get you working quickly ahead of time. The pack contains employment tips, techniques and most importantly a list of Sydney's recruitment agencies so you can get your CV/resume emailed to the agency even before you arrive in Australia.
International Phonecard - $10.00
Surfside sells an awesome phonecard. To give you an example of value, you can call a UK landline from Australia for 555 minutes for AUS$10.00. Calling mobiles is always more but still good value. You will never get that value out of a mobile or payphone.

VIP Backpackers Discount Card - $37.00
A VIP Backpackers Discount Card is an absolute must for those travelling in Australia and New Zealand. It lasts for 12 months & gives you a discount in Surfside of $3 per night with similar discounts in over 120 other backpacker hostels in Australia and a further 100 backpacker hostels in New Zealand. On top of this it gives you a massive discount on the interstate buses such as Greyhound & Premier. It also gives you big discounts on tours, travel, surf camps etc. If you are in Australia or NZ for more then 21 days the card will pay for itself very quickly.
Blue Mountains Day Tour - $68.00
The Blue Mountains are a "must do". It invloves a full day tour from in a small group experience visting all the major locations. You will be picked up at Surfside, shown the Nepean River, Kings Tableland, Wentworht Falls, Leura, Katoomba & the 3 Sisters, Aboriginal Sites, Kangaroos & Cockatoos, Olympic Park and a River Cruise on the way back to the City. The tour operates every day. If you select this option it is not refundable but is open dated.
Bondi Beach Surf Lesson -$79.00
A 2 hour surf lesson with qualified & experienced instructors on world famous Bondi Beach. Everything is provided except towel, sun cream & smiles. Surf lessons are very popular so book your lesson at check in. Surf lessons are available daily. If you select this option it is not refundable but is open dated.
Learn To Surf Day Trip - $79.00
A great day out where you will get a trip to the local National Park or Cronulla Beach to get surf lessons & lunch. Very popular because its so much fun & all equipemnt is provided. Surf day trips are available daily in Spring, Summer & Autumn. If you select this option it is not refundable but is open dated.
Sydney Skytower - $20.00 Normally $25.00
Skytowers are located in all the major cities of the world and Sydney's Skytower is the best one of all, simply awesome showing the Sydney Harbour, Sydney Harbour Bridge plus Sydney Opera House, Bondi Beach & Coogee Beach plus heaps more. The Skytower operates every day. If you select this option it is not refundable but open dated.
Sydney Hop On-Hop Off Harbour Cruise - $39.00
The Sydney Harbour Cruise shows you the whole harbour & allows you to travel around & hop on/hop off through out Sydney Harbour all day. Stops include Darling Harbour, Luna Park, Fort Denison, Taranga Zoo, Watson's Bay & Circular Quay. The Sydney Harbour Cruise operates almost every day. If you select this option it is not refundable but is open dated.
Sydney Harbour Jetboat - $79.00
A fast paced jet boat ride around Sydney Harbour, its fast, edgy, pumpin, quick and it rocks! The Sydney Harbour Jetboat operates almost every day. If you select this option it is not refundable but is open dated.
Sydney's Taronga Zoo - $39.00 Normally $43.00
If you want to see Kangaroos, Koala Bears, Wombats & Dingos & all the other Australian Animals plus heaps more you must visit here. The Zoo overlooks Sydney Harbour with awesome views. If only the animals could appreciate the view like humans, they would smile more. The Zoo is serviced by the hop on hop off harbour cruise and regular ferries. Taranga Zoo is open almost every day. If you select this option it is not refundable but is open dated.
Sydney Aquarium - $27.00 Normally $34.95
Sydney Aquarium has sharks, rays & lots of cool colourful fishes including Nemo's. Come and check them out, its a great adventure. Sydney Aquarium is open almost every day. If you select this option it is not refundable but is open dated.
