Christmas & New Years is really a 2-4 week experience with events stating on or around the 18th December 2010 going through New Years & beyond with the Sydney Festival and Australia Day celebrations on the 26th January each year. Most vistors recommend that you arrive between 18th-22nd December to catch the Christmas run up & stay some extra days too to catch January's summer events.
You can request any amount of days you wish, just check out our special deals, earlybird specials & minimum stays below.
We have several Christmas & New Year Deals
- 1 Nine night deal from 24th December 2020 to the 2nd January 2011

Minimum Stays
- Due to public holidays we have 2 minimum night stays. The 24/25/26 December 2010 & the 30/31/1 December 2010/January 2011
We are flexible though so ask for exactly what you want.
Christmas Day lunch and Surfside/Beach BBq's. We provide a FREE fully catered Christmas Day Aussie BBQ with FREE food & wine included for all of our guests. Its great fun & we would love for you to attend. Please let us know if you are attending and if you have any dietary requirements.
Can I invite my friends (not staying at Surfside) to Christmas Events? Yes or course but we need to know well in adavnce because we cater for exact numbers. Please let us know as soon as you know. For the BBq's there is no charge for friends however we ask that you ask your friends to bring along some wine or beers. Christmas dinner is our biggest event & for this we will ask your friends to contribute $30 per person which will give them full Christmas dinner with FREE wine. We may ask you to pay for them as we want the money early so we can buy more food and wine in time.
Friends. Every year bookings show up & then we find out you are all friends with each other but booked seperately. If you tell us who your friends are at the point of booking we will of course get you all together. If you don't tell us its down to luck!
We have 2 buildings, Surfside & our partner building 100 meters away. Surfside has all the dorm rooms & our partner building has the doubles, twins and triple rooms. All guests have use of all facilities or Surfside and best of all the Christmas dinner and all the events planned. Those in the partner building get keys for the Surfside so they can come over anytime.
All Christmas & New Years Guests staying 1 night, 14 nights or longer have access to the events on the day or night you are staying and we have heaps planned for you.

VIP Backpackers Discount Card.
If you were wondering what the difference in prices is...well a VIP card that costs $37 (same price everywhere) gives you the lower price. The best value is made when you request a VIP card on the booking form with your accommoadtion. Most is saved on the 9 or 14 night deals.
A VIP card is a backpackers discount card that gives you major discounts on accommodation and travel, there are 100 hostels in OZ plus another 80 in NZ that give a discount. The 2 major transport companies in OZ, namely Greyhound and Premier give approx 10% of all travel too. We are a member of the VIP Backpackers network and as such we offer the cards to our customers.

You can order them through surfside when you make a reservation. we will even send you the card so you can get discount on the rerservation and use it in other hostels before you get to us. See the booking form for details.

Noël dans Sydney est vraiment une 2 expérience de semaine avec les événements commençant sur ou autour du 21e décembre & passant au Jour d'Australie (26e janvier) & au-delà. La plupart de visiters recommande cependant, que vous arrivez sur ou avant le 21e avant 22e ou 23e décembre pour prendre l'avance de Noël sur et tous les événements qui arrive si nous suggérons que vous réserviez tôt.

Vous pouvez demander n'importe quelle quantité de jours que vous souhaitez, juste examiner nos affaires, nos spéciaux de lève-tôt et les séjours de minimum au dessous.

Si vous vous demandiez que la différence dans les prix est. ..well une carte de VIP qui coûte $37 (le même prix partout) vous donne le prix plus bas. La meilleure valeur est faite quand vous demandez une carte de VIP sur la forme de réservation avec votre accommoadtion. La plupart d'est épargné sur le 9 ou 14 affaires du soir.
Le quel est et comment je l'un obtiens ? ......A carte de VIP est la carte de réduction de routards qui donne des rabais majeurs sur l'accommodement et le voyage, il y a 100 hôtelleries dans ONCE plus un autre 80 dans NZ qui vous donne un rabais. Les 2 entreprises majeures de transport dans l'ONCE, à savoir Lévrier et Chef du gouvernement donnent environ 10% de tout voyage aussi. Nous sommes membre des Routards de VIP forme un réseau et comme tel nous offrons les cartes à nos clients. Quand vous réservez par notre site internet sur notre réservation forme peut vous demander une carte de VIP dans le « les Services Supplémentaires » la Section.
